Dr. Hankyu Cho, Periodontist
Dr. Hankyu Cho is our talented periodontist. His philosophy to provide his patients with a lifetime of smiles. As people are living longer, we have excessive wear and tear on our teeth, so it is important to prevent loss of teeth and when that is no longer possible, replace those teeth with dental implants. He is trained in all aspects of periodontics including non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal and gum diseases, periodontal bone regeneration and periodontal soft tissue grafting. He also has extensive training in the surgical placement of dental implants, all-on-4 dental implants, hard tissue grafting (including sinus augmentation), and soft tissue grafting to enhance the aesthetics of dental implants.
Dr. Cho also caters to apprehensive patients and those patients who want to get all their dental work done in as little as one visit, by offering IV sedation and oral sedation.
Dr. Cho attended college at Vanderbilt University, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. He completed his D.D.S. degree and an additional 3 year Master of Science in Periodontics at Columbia University. The specialty program in periodontics included comprehensive training in implant dentistry, with strong emphasis on the surgical placement of implants and bone regeneration techniques.
Dr. Yung Kim, Periodontist, Prosthodontist, Dentist
Dr. Yung Kim is a double board-certified specialist in dentistry, educated to treat many extremely complex disorders involving gum disease, tooth decay and oral pathology. His focus is on full-mouth, complex, surgical, and reconstructive dentistry. He has extensive knowledge of implant dentistry and advanced surgical procedures, specializing in teeth in a day and All-on-Four implant-supported dentures. He is also Invisalign certified and experienced with CAD/CAM restorations and dentures.
Dr. Kim is one of only four dental professionals in the U.S. who is both an American Board Certified Periodontist and an American Board Certified Prosthodontist. To achieve this dual certification, he underwent an additional five years of education after dental school. Resulting from his periodontal training, Dr. Kim is skilled in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the supporting structures of the teeth. As a prosthodontist, he replaces damaged or missing teeth as well as hard and soft tissues of the mouth and face. The advanced expertise required to achieve double certification allows Dr. Kim to perform both surgical and restorative aspects of dentistry. As a result, our patients can look forward to an efficient, streamlined process as well as a more comfortable visit with fewer specialists.
Dr. Kim received his Bachelor of Science from SUNY Stony Brook University and earned his Dental Degree from SUNY Stony Brook University, School of Dental Medicine. Continuing his education and training, Dr. Kim completed a general practice residency at Nassau University Medical Center. Following the residency, he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated from the Periodontics and Prosthodontics Program, earning his Master’s Degree in Dental Science.
Dr. Natalie Baker, DMD, MS, FACP, Board-Certified Prosthodontist
Dr. Natalie Baker is a Board-Certified Prosthodontist. She specializes in the replacement of missing teeth, the repair of missing teeth, and offers her patients unique solutions that only a specialist can provide. She is well-versed in all phases of implant surgery and restoration. Her additional three years of advanced training in prosthodontics has given her the training and skill to provide complex dental treatment for her patients with exceptional esthetic results.
Dr. Baker was born in Rye, New York and received her dental degree from New Jersey Dental School. Prior to receiving her DMD degree, Dr. Baker earned a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, where she majored in Spanish and minored in Graphic Design. Her background in visual arts led her to Prosthodontics, which combines her desire to provide high quality oral health care with exceptional esthetic results.
While receiving her Certificate in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Baker completed a Master of Science degree for her research of a novel Zirconia implant surface. She was also awarded the Granger Pruden Award from the Northeastern Gnathological Society, as well as awards from the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Prosthodontic Society, for her research. She has been invited to present her research at the American Prosthodontic Society, Academy of Prosthodontics, and Northeastern Gnathological Society meetings.
Dr. Baker has successfully passed an extensive written and clinical examination to achieve board-certification in her specialty, and is therefore regarded as one of the most highly trained restorative dentists in the country.
